Official Forums: Update

We’d like to apologize to all of our fans for the lack of official forums. We know you would have loved to have a place to hang out and talk about your love for our game on its release date, and apologize that even a month after release the forum is not in place. Unfortunately, we’ve run into some problems with the initial contractor and were forced to hire another so that we can get the new message boards up in a timely manner. When will this be? We are aiming to launch our official forums in the last week of July and next week we will try to post some work in progress materials. We promise to keep you updated on our progress on the forums, and we appreciate your patience.

Giant Realm Alienware Contest Results

This contest ended few weeks ago, however entries submitted by the contestants were so awesome that we wanted to share them with you. The concept behind the sweepstake was to choose your own ending of the game featuring Geralt and/or Triss and illustrate it. There was only one rule – participants had to involve The Witcher’s main protagonist and/or his friend in a famous moment in history. As you can see, a very large number of said entries was done in Photoshop. The winner received a brand new Alienware Laptop. According to the statistics this was ModDB’s most successful contest ever, not too bad.

Development Philosophy
CD Projekt RED is making absolutely no compromises for the console release. The Witcher 2 on Xbox 360 is a full game adaptation for the new platform. It will immerse players in the same mature, deep gameplay experience, but perfectly suited to the Xbox 360. The same complex storyline, non-linearity, spectacular and tactical combat system, living interactive world and many other features will all be fully implemented on the Xbox 360.
Thanks to CD Projekt RED’s advanced, proprietary REDengine technology, The Witcher 2 on Xbox 360 will present some of the most cutting edge graphics ever seen on the console. In addition, the team is taking the time needed to prepare a proper adaptation. As a result, players can expect meaningful improvements and enhancements. Information about the changes, including the role of Oscar nominee Tomasz Baginski, will be revealed later this year.
