To patch your vanilla The Witcher 2 installation to Enhanced Edition manually, use the links below. More info on patching below the links.

PLEASE NOTE! This patch is not for Steam. If you use it to patch the Steam version of the game you will render the game incompatible with Steam. The Witcher 2 on Steam is kept up to date, and the a freshly installed game is already 3.4 (the latest version) from the very moment of installation.

Also, note that this patch is NOT FOR THE ENHANCED EDITION, as it already is on this patch’s level (3.0). This patch upgrades the 2011 release version of the game to Enhanced Edition.

In order to use the patch:

Make sure you have enough free space on your hard drive. The patch consists of several installation files which depending on how many voiceovers you want to download, are 11 GB to 15 GB in size.
Make sure that your firewall and antivirus do not interfere with the download in any way.
When you’ve finished the download make sure that all the installation files are located in one folder. Then run the setup.exe file.

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings | Windows | Patch

This patch is NOT necessary to install the Enhanced Edition. Patch 1.35 can be used as a more lightweight (118 MB) alternative to the 11 GB Enhanced Edition (3.0) patch for the owners of retail copies of the release (1.0) version of The Witcher 2, which requires patching to run.

If an active Internet connection is present the game will be automatically updated to Enhanced Edition when you run the game Launcher and confirm that you wish to update the game to its newest version. As an alternative to auto-patching through the Launcher the Enhanced Edition Downloader, which is available below, can be used.

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings | Windows | Patch

The game will automatically update to version 3.1 via the game launcher. In case of any problems with the automatic patching system, please download the file manually by clicking the button below. PLEASE NOTE! If you have an older version of The Witcher 2 you need to update it to Enhanced Edition before using the patch 3.1.
